Service; 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk, the Rev. William Shields officiating.

Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial: Minonk Township Cemetery.

Mr. Barth was born June 6, 1916, in Minonk, a son of Edward and Elizabeth Timmerman Barth. He married Emma Marie Moritz on Nov. 4, 1939, in Benson. She died May 19, 1979. He later married Norma Turner and then Betty Warsaw, who survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jay (Lois) Barth, Flanagan; one daughter, Jean (Don) Cremeens, Metamora; two grandsons, Jeff (Tracy) Barth, Flanagan; and Mark (Malin) Cremeens, Lacon; two granddaughters, Michelle (Tim) Knight, Slinger, Wis.; and Dawn (Michael) Brockhouse, Metamora; one brother, Robert (Roberta) Barth, Minonk; three sisters, Edith Meierhofer, Evelyn Milashoski and Irma (Fred) Baker, all of Minonk; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

John farmed all of his life in the Flanagan and Graymont areas. He was instrumental in bringing Kinze planters and auger wagons to this area and took great pride in selling them to local farmers. He also was instrumental in introducing Kan-Sun grain dryers to local farmers.

He was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Flanagan, where he served on the church council and building committee. He also served for several terms on the Flanagan school board.
